These terms apply to the iOS app Life UK Test Prep by JS Insights, published by JS INSIGHTS LTD (company number 16256838), registered in England & Wales. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to App Store downloads.

Independent educational study aid

The app is an independent educational study aid. It is not produced by, endorsed by, approved by, sponsored by or affiliated with GOV.UK, the Home Office, UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI), UK Parliament, the royal household, any test provider, or any other UK government or official body.

Any references to the Life in the UK Test, GOV.UK, the Home Office or UKVI are descriptive references to public tests and official sources only.

Original study materials, not official test content

The app's notes, translations, practice questions, explanations, glossary, tables and timed practice tests are JS Insights learning materials. They are not official Life in the UK Test questions, real exam questions, official answers, official practice questions, an official practice app, an official mock exam, an official question bank, official Home Office/UKVI materials, or official test content.

No guarantee of outcomes

Using the app does not guarantee that you will pass the Life in the UK Test or meet any Knowledge of Language and Life in the UK (KoLL), settlement/ILR, citizenship, naturalisation, visa or immigration requirement. Exam rules, fees, identity requirements, official study materials and immigration guidance may change.

Always rely on the current official Guide for New Residents / eBook / latest impression amendments, GOV.UK Life in the UK Test pages, and relevant current Home Office/UKVI guidance before booking a test or making an application.

Not legal or immigration advice

The app is for general education and revision only. It is not legal advice, immigration advice, visa advice, nationality advice or Home Office/UKVI casework advice. For advice about your own circumstances, consult GOV.UK and, where appropriate, a qualified immigration adviser or solicitor.

AI-assisted and translated content

Some translations, study notes and explanations may have been prepared with AI assistance and reviewed as learning material. They may still contain mistakes, omissions, wording issues or translation limitations. Official English materials and current official guidance take precedence.

Licence and acceptable use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app and its content for your own study. You may not copy, scrape, extract, redistribute, sell, sublicense or republish the question bank, chapter texts, translations, glossary, tables, images or other app content, except where permitted by law or by the relevant third-party licence.

Free access and advertising

The app is free and currently has no in-app purchases or subscriptions. Version 1.1 and later may display low-distraction advertising supplied by Google AdMob at selected section boundaries and summary screens. Advertising does not represent an endorsement by JS Insights of an advertiser, product or service.

Future versions may introduce optional paid features, subscriptions or online services. Any purchase will be subject to Apple's App Store rules, and the app's terms and privacy disclosures will be updated when required.

Availability, corrections and updates

We may update, correct, change or discontinue the app or its content. We try to keep study materials useful and clear, but we cannot promise that every item will always be complete, current or error-free.

If you notice a possible mistake, typo, unclear explanation, translation issue, broken link or other problem, contact contact@jsinsights.co.uk with the chapter, question number, screen name or screenshot if possible.

Fair use, warranties and liability

We provide the app with reasonable care as an educational study aid, but we cannot guarantee that the content is error-free, complete, up to date, available at all times, or suitable for your individual circumstances.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law of England and Wales. Subject to that, JS Insights is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, loss arising from reliance on the app instead of current official guidance, or immigration, exam, application or financial outcomes. If you paid for a future version or feature, any liability will be limited to the amount you paid for that feature, unless the law requires otherwise.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
